MRS. Epstein, Grades 10-12--Resources for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students
This website was created for deaf and hard of hearing students in high-school. It is intended for use for pupils who are mainstreamed into regular classes and as well as those who study in self-contained classes. As such, it caters to a wide range of levels.
On the left hand side of the main page there is a menu, titled Class information.
Document Library; Bagrut: Under Document Library students will find a list of categories, including each module on the Bagrut exam and the names of some of the textbooks pupils are using.
Category; Exercises: Upon opening a category a pupil will find a number of exercises. Some open in Word format and can be printed out. An answer sheet for each exercise is provided. Other exercises are interactive and can be done online. Some of the exercises are for the special sections given to the Shema pupils, who are eligible for accommodations. Other exercises are suitable for any pupil studying for a certain module.
My links: Clicking on the My links option on the main menu leads the students to links on other websites with suitable grammar and vocabulary exercises. These exercises are interactive with immediate feedback.
Contact Me: Students also have a contact me option on the main menu in case there are any questions.
The website is an ongoing project and I am endeavoring to add to it and improve it. Comments are most welcome - it is my intention to make it as user-friendly as possible, within the constraints of the hosting site, Bloust, Free Websites for Teachers.
